Tea Party online: Chokunyu ran through the Edo and Meiji periods

SAYUU is the residence where an artist named Chokunyu Tanomura spent his later years. Have you ever heard him?

He is not only a painter, but also a famous producer who led to great success the Kyoto Exposition and a large tea ceremony which more than 1200 people came to in Osaka. 

He founded the Kyoto Prefectural School of Painting, the current of  Kyoto City University of Arts.

In this online tea party, we will talk about Tanomura Chokunyu and various stories on the theme of people, things, and the art and culture from the end of the Edo period to the Meiji period.
